The fire was first reported around 12:45 p.m.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said that the fire was intentionally set.

Law enforcement sources told NBC that one adult was found shot to death outside a mansion on Willow Brook Road in Colts Neck after a fire began around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon.

A tech company CEO, his wife, and their two young children have been found dead at the scene of an "intentional" mansion fire in an affluent New Jersey neighborhood.

He said the bodies inside the house were badly burned - delaying the process of formally identifying them.

The prosecutor's office told AP that it's investigating the fire in Colts Neck along with another fire in Ocean Township, New Jersey.

Video showed smoke pouring from the roof of the two-story home in Colts Neck as firefighters battled the blaze.

"It's important to emphasize that we have no reason to believe that anyone in the community is in any danger at this time", he said.

Colts Neck is a well-to-do community that's home to horse farms. The residents of that home were able to evacuate safely, and investigators found multiple gas cans inside the house.

Gramiccioni said that it was too early to tell if a fire at a home on Tilton Drive in Ocean Township early Tuesday morning was connected to the fire in Colts Neck.

The 5,700-square-foot, five-bedroom manse was built in 2003 and was worth an estimated $1.5 million, according to Zillow.

Keith Caneiro, according to his LinkedIn profile, is described as the CEO and chief technology officer for a company in the New York City area called Square One. His profile says he graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science degree in 2018 and previously received certifications from Harvard Business School.

Caneiro is the founder and boss of SquareOne, while his brother, Paul is the vice president. Gramiccioni said that a firefighter was hurt in a fall, but he said that she is expected to be OK.
