A royal family portrait released on Prince Charles birthday today

Prince Charles celebrated his big day today as he arrived for a special tea party for 70 inspirational people also marking their 70th birthday this year.

Clarence House has included a nod to the late Princess Diana in a photo montage created to mark Prince Charles' 70th birthday. The pictures feature the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince George, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The pic, and several others like it, are the spitting image of Prince Harry's current full-bearded look.

But even though they will not use the second snap for any portraits at the palace, it's still a great pic as it shows the Royal Family acting less formal.

The handsome snaps were taken especially for Prince Charles' birthday and were shared on social media on Wednesday morning with plenty of fans quickly commenting on how wonderful it is to see the family's special moment together. The stunning portraits see the heir to the throne posing with his wife Camilla, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

Britain's Prince Charles and his companion Camilla Parker Bowles leave the Ritz Hotel in London, the first time that the couple, who have been friends for more than 25 years, have appeared together in public.

From the photos released, it could be seen that the photos were taken in the gardens of Clarence House. It gave fans the first glimpse of the young prince since his christening and the indication that there would be more family photos to come.

The prince's Clarence House office released two family portraits to mark the birthday.

His eldest son, Prince William, also praised his father's grandparenting capabilities, although he admitted he would like Charles to "have more time with the children". "He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making amusing noises and laughing". Meanwhile, the royal household is also all set to welcome a new member with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the to-be- parents.
