Following a bittersweet 1-1 draw against Liverpool last weekend, Arsenal will look to bounce back to winning ways when they host Sporting CP tonight in the UEFA Europa League.

Sokratis could be given a start this week, even though he has just returned from his knock.

Meanwhile, Carl Jenkinson and Emile Smith Rowe get another opportunity to impress.

"He was working well and he was having a good match".

However, the point was enough to guarantee the north London side a place in the last 32 atop Group E on 10 points, with Sporting behind them on seven.

The move to replace the manager was precipitated by Danny Welbeck's victor in Arsenal's 1-0 win over Sporting in Portugal two weeks ago at a raucous Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Unai Emery made plenty of changes from the side that drew with Liverpool on Saturday evening with Welbeck among those recalled as the England worldwide replaced Alexandre Lacazette up front against the Portuguese giants tonight. Matteo Guendouzi slots into midfield with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey, while Danny Welbeck is up top.

The Arsenal striker landed awkwardly after going for a challenge in the 25th minute and required immediate attention. Welbeck fired the ball on target but keeper Reman Ribeiro was equal to the task which led to the Longsight-born attacker remain down, before eventually being carried off to be replaced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after a lengthy stoppage.

Jeremy Mathieu was sent off late on for the visitors, and he will miss the next game.

The 27-year-old took on oxygen as he was tended to on the pitch for several minutes before he was stretchered off, with some of Welbeck's team-mates were left visibly distraught by his plight.
