Furious woman tries to strangle McDonald's worker in row over ketchup

Police in Santa Ana, California, are trying to identify a suspect who reportedly assaulted the manager of a McDonald's.

"The suspect entered the McDonald's restaurant from the employee back door and asked for ketchup".

When the store manager told her she couldn't be in the building she became combative.

Police released McDonald's surveillance footage of the incident, showing a woman in gray trousers and a light pink shirt attacking the employee, who was wearing a blue shirt.

The police department released surveillance footage showing the suspect in gray trousers and a pink shirt shoving an employee in a blue shirt.

The woman "pushed, punched, and choked" the McDonald's employee, according to the police department in a November 13 news release.

The assault eventually ends when a man runs into the kitchen, and a woman leaves with him.

Santa Ana police released this image of the suspect.

"There's no reason to physically assault someone because you didn't get enough ketchup".

Bertagna also told news station KTLA 5 that investigators are hoping to get in touch with the man who was able to remove the woman from the grounds; however, he is not wanted for any of the crimes committed.

The suspect is described as a hispanic female aged between 20 and 25 years old with brown hair and wearing a pink shirt and gray sweatpants.

"Our biggest priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees and customers at our restaurants", Kaplan said.
