Google reportedly working on two mid-range smartphones for early next year release

The reason that these two codenames are important is because Google has traditionally used the names of fishes as code names for its upcoming devices, going back right up to the initial Nexus smartphones and tablets, and the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL, which were codenamed Crosshatch and Blueline. Bonito and Sargo could either be two different phones altogether or just like Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, one could be bigger while other smaller in size. They could also do with single camera setups for both the front and rear, and considering Google's prowess in computational photography, these phones could be some of the best midrange phones for shooting photos.

Google introduced the third generation Google Pixel smartphones - Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL in October this year. And although the new devices are being touted as "mid-range" offerings, it's likely that the pricing of these smartphones will be significantly higher than the typical definition mid-range.

At the moment there are no official details about the new line of smartphones Google.

Bonito isn't the only codename found in the APK file, however, as the outlet also found a reference to Sargo. Google Bonito was already in the news, while Google Sargo has appeared on the internet for the first time. The phone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor and is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2019.

Google could be preparing for the launch of these new mid-range Pixel smartphones early next year. The company also gave no clear timeline on when it will issue the update to fix it. The Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were codenamed Sailfish, Marlin, Walleye and Taimen respectively.

A new smartphone brand growing like a bonfire in the Indian market, Honor is breaking records. Perhaps we will see even a budget smartphone. The sale included discounts on some of the bestselling Honor smartphones: Honor 9N, Honor 9 Lite, Honor 7S, Honor 9i, Honor 10 and Honor 7A.
