Jose Mourinho trolls FA in hilarious post-match interview

"I wouldn't do that gesture again but I don't think I offended anyone and at the time it seemed like the appropriate response to those who had insulted all my family, apart from my Inter one too".

Mourinho also claimed United have "one final to play" if they want to get through. A point was the least they needed to have a chance of qualifying for the last 16 but winning was wonderful, and now they are in a strong position to make the knock-out stage. United struggled to get any scoring chances. Then, he took over.

Jose Mourinho has Manchester United playing with spirit and determination once again.

He brought on Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini with 11 minutes left and United deservedly behind to a Cristiano Ronaldo wonder goal, and both were instrumental in the turnaround, Mata whipping home the equaliser and Fellaini flicking on a cross that Sandro eventually nodded into his own net. He'd probably decline to celebrate if he could redo it, but at least he quickly realized what he did will be seen as wrong by the United fans and tried to make up for it.

But he went jogging forward into the box for Ashley Young's free-kick a couple of minutes later and caused panic in the Juve defence.

For the ball to bounce in off Sandro's head was an ugly way for United to clinch the win but it gave them the result they wanted, so who cares? The European champions' third win in three matches since Solari took charge was a 5-0 hammering of Viktoria Plzen.

And, minutes later, Dybala went even closer at the other end as he picked up the ball after some neat interplay to curl an effort off the crossbar with De Gea well beaten.

"And it is a great joy for me because we won against a super team, and not because they are the enemy of Inter".

Opposition doesn't come much tougher than Manchester City at the moment.

I am expecting the Manchester derby to follow the same pattern as Wednesday night, with City having more possession and United defending for long periods.

The two games churned out some freaky and brilliant moments. Now, it appears that the Portuguese manager is getting his team back on track to qualify for the next round of the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils now sit in second place with seven points, just two behind the opponents they just faced. With Lukaku they are more inclined to play direct, whereas Sánchez is really good at dropping deeper and linking up with the midfield and wingers.
