LaMelo Ball Returning to High School Hoops at Ultra Elite Private Academy

LaMelo Ball will return to the United States to play high school basketball at the Spire Institute in Ohio. However, he withdrew from Chino Hills High School (California) last October and signed with BC Vytautas in Lithuania along with his brother, LiAngelo.

LaVar Ball announced on Twitter Tuesday afternoon that LaMelo, now a senior, will play for Spire Prep Academy in Geneva, Ohio.

Going against elite high school prospects in a controlled environment will give National Basketball Association scouts a better idea of where the 17-year-old is in his development.

"I'm excited to return to school and rejoin my class on the court for my senior year", the 17-year-old LaMelo Ball told SLAM's Franklyn Calle this week. The move to Spire will give LaMelo an opportunity to play in a structured basketball environment against real competition.

LaMelo and LiAngelo are the younger brothers of Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball and had been touring overseas with the JBA, founded by father LaVar Ball. I learned and matured so much.

We know what you're thinking - according to Jake Weingarten, Melo was never paid during his time as a pro, so he never lost his eligibility. apparently, that makes it okay for Ball to suit up starting November 13. I appreciated the JBA experience my dad provided for me. "I can't wait to play with my peers". He averaged 40.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 11.0 assists and 3.6 steals per game during the inaugural domestic JBA season last summer. 4 assists, 8.7 rebounds, and 5.1 steals.

"In my opinion, LaMelo Ball can be the No. 1 pick in a year or two going to the Cleveland Cavaliers", Jermaine Jackson tells TMZ Sports.
