Marko Arnautovic confirms he wants to leave West Ham

Marko Arnautovic's two most productive seasons have come in the last three years, with 11-goal campaigns for Stoke City (2015-16) and West Ham (2017-18), but he's on his way to better with five goals in 10 PL matches so far this season. However, his brother's words will be of great concern to the club's hierarchy as they attempt to build a side capable of challenging at the top end of the Premier League.

Arnautovic, though, fears his time at the top is running out and believes the time is right to join a Champions League club.

Speaking to Austrian newspaper Kurier while on global duty, Arnautovic said: "I'm 29 so that's the best age".

And he may even seek an exit as soon as January as he looks to compete for silverware and play with better players. "But in this affair I totally trust my brother".

However Arnautovic, who has his brother Danijel as his agent, has conceded he would like to play at a higher level.

"He's already playing in the Premier League and that's where the best players are". But for a player like Marko this can not be the end.

"He's a big part of West Ham's team but I think it's possible to tease out more of him".

"He is ready for the next step in his career".

Arnautovic's agent has also spoken of the player's desire to test himself at the upper echelons of the league table rather than fighting relegation. He should play for the global spots.

The report adds that we are the favourites to sign the 29-year-old, as Jose Mourinho could be tempted into moving for the West Ham star due to Alexis Sanchez's lack of impact. But there is still that feeling, that this can not be the end. "And everybody should understand that".

Parlour says the West Ham man was close to a reunion with Mourinho in the summer.

"These days the players have got all the power, if someone really badly wants to leave your club, you can't really stand in their way", Parlour continued. I cannot reveal more.
