Royal Family portraits for Prince Charles' 70th birthday

Royal Family portraits for Prince Charles' 70th birthday

Cheryl has shared a sultry picture of her lounging on a bed after attending the birthday celebrations of Prince Charles.

Joking that he had undergone the "the alarming realisation that I have reached the biblical threshold of three score years and 10, with all the scars that go with it", he urged the public to look ahead in their own lives to "try to think ahead to what our grandchildren will want and need".

Chris Jackson said: "I was delighted to have been asked to take these portraits of The Prince of Wales surrounded by his family to celebrate the important milestone of his 70th Birthday".

In the first picture, the Royal Family are seen composed and looking directly at the camera.

In two official images released to mark Charles's milestone, the heir to the throne is pictured sat on a bench with his grandson and seated beside them are the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Charlotte.

In the heartfelt moment, Prince Louis, William and Kate's youngest son, is playing with devoted grandfather Charles clutching his grandfather's hand as the Duchess of Cambridge holds the fifth in line. Everyone puts on wonderful smiles for the formal portrait, but Meghan and George are totally cracking up about something in a second shot that appeared to be an outtake.

William and Harry both opt for a smart-casual look, donning suits without ties, while their father stands out in a blue striped suit and light blue tie.

Blue and white is the theme of the portrait, as everyone is perfectly color coordinated.

This is the first time we've seen the family all together since Prince Louis' christening in July.

There was sustained applause as the audience gave the prince three birthday cheers.
