Samsung W2019 flip phone without headphone jack now official

In comparison with the W2018 flip phone, the newly launched smartphone offers a better chipset, cameras and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. As usual, the pricing is insane with the unit carrying 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage priced at the equivalent of $2,732 United States dollars. As expected, underneath that classic flip phone design is a phone with flagship specs.

According to the pre-order listing on JD, the 128GB version of the phone is priced at CNY 18,999 which roughly equivalent to RM 11,420. Currently, the smartphone is launched only in China and is available in the market for a price tag of 18999 Yuan, which when translated to INR comes to 1.9 lakh approx.

It's official: Samsung finally has a smartphone that doesn't come with a headphone jack. The phone is available in Silver and Gold colour options. Unlike the W2018, the W2019 features a dual camera system on the back. Flip open the device and you will be greeted with another 4.2-inch Super AMOLED display along with a directional pad, and a numeric keypad.

The device features two Super AMOLED displays - the external one sports a 4.2-inch panel with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.

Samsung announces that the back side of the W2019 is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. With clamshell snapped, the phone is about 17.3mm thick. Besides, the phone appears to have a plastic body with a metallic finish, though details of the same remain unconfirmed. For selfies, there is an 8MP f/2.0 camera sensor. The device features a dual rear camera setup, including a 12MP camera with f/1.5 to f/2.4 dual aperture and a 12MP telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom. The phone also supports Full HD slow-motion video recording option at 960 fps.
