Netflix has released a teaser trailer that highlights all of their upcoming Christmas content, including a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina special and a new film starring Kurt Russell as Santa Claus. It is also a time for guests to drop by, sometimes uninvited. The special will make hiatus a little easier.

Since the winter solstice is quite literally the longest night of the year, we expect that the Church of Night will have something special in mind.

The first episode picks up in the lead-up to Halloween (and Sabrina's 16th birthday), with another one in the 10-episode season focusing on Thanksgiving - which takes place towards the end of November.

On Monday morning, Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed news of the Sabrina Christmas special (although he didn't address any potential Riverdale crossovers). The action kicked off a little before Sabrina's October 31 birthday, and episode 7 took place while mortals celebrated Thanksgiving. That's a shame considering how well the first season (or Part as Netflix calls it) has gone over, especially with that cliffhanger ending.

With the coming of the Christmas season comes the pain of endless Christmas music, with the joys of getting some warm hot chocolate feel-good movies and television specials to get into the Holiday spirit.

The new series strays from the boring weirdness of high school and grabs the concept of a coven of witches by the (devil's) horns. They'll also learn what happened after Zelda (Miranda Otto) kidnapped Father Blackwood's (Richard Coyle) daughter. Also Sabrina still lives with her Aunts Zelda and Hilda, who are nearly identical to their sitcom counterparts.

Catch Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter's Tale streaming Friday, Dec. 14 on Netflix.
