And now he is arriving with the much anticipated 'Thugs of Hindostan.' This film of Aamir has become a national talk and also got the required hype too. With an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif, expectations from the film were sky high.

This year's big release for India's Diwali festival, the seafaring song-and-dance fest with superstars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan cost US$42 million (RM175 million), making it the most expensive movie to date in the Hindi-language industry. But just with its release, the movie has already beaten Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai and Aamir's Dangal.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the movie is set against the backdrop of pre-Independence era and involves heavy VFX works.

Although the film has not gone up to the mark and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has stated this film a totally disappointing.

Amitabh Bachchan has little to do except fight and deliver some really loaded dialogues, Katrina Kaif has an inconsequential special appearance, Fatima Sana Shaikh shines but only briefly and Aamir Khan's jokes fall flat. "Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits..." the tweet read. "#TOH is a golden opportunity lost, a KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT!" he wrote on Twitter.

It is to be noted that the initial predictions of Thugs of Hindostan coming from film critics have been overwhelming. With all of these, the movie seems promising and is expected to be a money spinner at the box office.
