Following Kerr's comments, the Warriors released a statement saying Curry has a mild to moderate groin strain. "So he's disappointed, but it could have been a lot worse". "We'll just monitor his progress over the next several days".

Curry's injury came just when Draymond Green sat out due to a sprained right toe and foot while fellow All-Star DeMarcus Cousins has also yet to see action due to a left Achilles injury. The two-time MVP has averaged 29.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 12 games this season.
