Denver Nuggets edge Toronto Raptors 106-103

Juancho Hernangomez missed one of two free throws with 12 seconds left to give Toronto one last gasp, and Leonard scored with seven seconds left to tie the game. "There's nothing he really can't do, except jump".

"I was kind of hoping we'd be able to disrupt him with a little bit more pressure", Nurse said. "He just seemed to handle it".

Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points, Serge Ibaka had 15 and Pascal Siakam 14 for the Raptors.

In a highly anticipated matchup between two first-place teams, neither the Nuggets or Raptors disappointed from the opening tip.

Nuggets guard Gary Harris will undergo an MRI on Tuesday on his injured groin, according to multiple reports.

The Warriors raced to a 34-17 lead in the first 12 minutes - Curry outscored the Hawks by himself - and the defending National Basketball Association champions won for only the fourth time in 10 games.

The Toronto Raptors' eight-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of Canadian Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets on Monday. The Raptors would battle back though with eight-straight points of their own to take a 35-33 lead with 7:18 left before half.

Denver was definitely the better team on the night, particularly in the first half in which the Raptors were a woeful combined 3-for-22 from three-point range.

Then trailing by a point with two minutes to play, Leonard air-balled a three-point attempt, but made up for it with a long jumper - and a double fist pump in celebration - on the Raptors' next trip down the floor to give the Raptors a brief lead.

Paul George added 17 points for the Thunder, who are 15-3 since losing their first four games.

Stat leaders for the Nuggets were Murray, who finished with 21 points on 9-of-21 shooting from the field to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
