Huawei Nova 4 to launch on December 17

There is a fight brewing between Samsung and Huawei on who will come out on top to launch the first smartphone with a punch hole display. And there's another difference - unlike Samsung's S10, the Huawei Nova 4 is unlikely to be sold in the U.S.

We will know more about the Samsung Galaxy A8s when it is launched in China on December 10.

Talking about the design, the smartphone will carry a true bezel display with no-notch whatsoever with an Infinity-O display. This news that was put on the company's Weibo page and it officially puts the South Korean smartphone maker ahead in the race to launch the first such phone in the market. A tiny notch in one corner of the screen for the Huawei Nova 4. For those unaware, Samsung first showcased a smartphone - Galaxy A8s - with edge-to-edge screens on all the sides with a camera hole right on the display itself at the China launch event of Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s. The addition allows the companies to place front cameras and sensors at the top but some tech fans aren't happy with the look. The phone could be packing a 3,400 mAh battery. Huawei Nova 4's unique feature is that it has a display hole for the selfie camera. The phone will have a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. With a small hole at the corner, this approach offers a less obstructive full-screen experience compared to a notched display, especially while playing videos. The company has released the poster of the smartphone mentioning the launch date as well as background of the Galaxy and captioning it as "Real Galaxy". So, even if it comes second, it will still have an advantage over the Galaxy A8s (expected to have a Snapdragon 710). The Galaxy A8s is expected to come with a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup with a combination of a 24-megapixel primary camera, and 10-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras.
