Jael Strauss Dead - 'ANTM' Contestant Dies at 34 | Jael Strauss, RIP

We send our thoughts and condolences to Jael's loved ones during this hard time.

Jael passed away on Tuesday after learning about her diagnosis only two months ago, TMZ reported.

Jael told her followers: "I was gonna write some long thing, but some of you guys deserve to know". She had celebrated five years of sobriety by the time she was diagnosed with incurable Stage IV breast cancer.

After receiving treatment for her addiction and getting clean, the model said she was "the happiest I've ever been in my entire life".

She concluded: "I don't want to die".

The GoFundMe page has raised more than $19,000 in the past two months. "It has metastasized and spread beyond the breast tissue".

Per the site, the aspiring model made a decision to stop chemotherapy at the end of October, and in November, Strauss shared on Facebook that she was spending her first night in a hospice.

Jael wrote on her Facebook page after going into hospice care late last month: 'First night in hospice.

'I have an inner conflict, because I know that my story has helped so many people. "She was an advocate for those who were most in need of support".

Fans and fellow ANTM contestants are memorializing Strauss on Twitter.

Taking to Instagram to share the milestone, she wrote: "Today I have 5 years sober".

"I wish I could of seen her once more", Gonzalez wrote.

After cameras showed up to Jael's house, she agreed to visit the show - but before being brought onto the stage, she fled the set, leading to Dr Phil speaking to her in the Paramount lot. We don't know for what reasons, but man was she one of the strongest I knew. I'm heartbroken to have lost #JaelStrauss at 34 to [breast cancer].

'Top Model has lost a attractive soul.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Speaking in 2013, she revealed she'd not touched alcohol or drugs since the show. "She greatly impacted all those who crossed her path". "All donations will go exclusively to these expenses".

She was unconscious for a few days and had reportedly quit chemotherapy not long after being diagnosed in October.

"We can honour her best by trying to #lovelikejael".
