Nokia 7.1 up for pre-orders in India; Price, offers and more

HMD Global and Nokia have been working together for quite some time now, and the two companies have just announced the newest member to their Android lineup.

The Nokia 8.1 is slated for availability sometime in the middle of December. Like other Nokia phones, the Nokia 8.1 will also be Android One device. Luckily Chetan Cale, a gifted photographer and member of Nokia Community, was there to take some shots with it. Pre-orders in the UAE start tomorrow (at AED 1,500), the phone will be available on shelves on December 15.

The short clip has put a lot of emphasis on the camera's Zeiss optics with optical image stabilisation. The device comes with Aluminum unibody design and sports a 2.5D curved glass on the front.

By shipping with Android Oreo™ out of the box, you'll be able to enjoy the latest features, including Google Lens, picture-in-picture for multitasking, Google Play Instant to discover and run apps with minimal friction, and battery-saving features like limiting background app use. Introduced first with the Nokia 7.1, the Pure Display tech from HMD allows users to stream HDR titles from Netflix and other content platforms.

Coming to pricing while Nokia 8.1 will retail for Euro 399 in European markets and its pricing for UAE market has been revealed to be AED 1499. This is an Android One phone now running Pie, but it will receive OS updates for 2 years and security updates for 3 years. For the camera duties, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2 aperture and 85-degree field of view at the front.

At the heart of the Nokia 8.1, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset, clubbed with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The device comes in Blue Silver, Steel Copper and Iron Steel colour options. This smartphone supports microSD cards up to 400GB large - and it's got a headphone jack too. On that note, the phone is powered by a 3500mAh battery, and supports fast charging.
