Reuben Foster’s Ex Shares Details Of Alleged Assault

While her family thought of Foster as a "nice" and "good-hearted person", Ennis said, "behind closed doors, he's not".

Foster had been charged with three felonies earlier this year, including domestic violence, after Ennis told police he brutally assaulted her in California.

"I felt like they didn't believe me even when I called the police, the 49ers came up there", Ennis said. She told Linsey Davis of ABC News that the 49ers showed up after she called police, and team officials tried to tell the police she was the same woman who recanted her allegations last time. "Officers observed a one-inch scratch on the victim's left collarbone". He was later released on $2,000 bail.

"I told him I was going to tell his new girlfriend that he paid for my flight out there, so that's what triggered it". She says the two were trying to work on their relationship.

"He used to come crying to me and tell me he didn't have anybody".

She also said she suffered a concussion from the incident, ABC reported. She shared photographs of the injuries for the first time on Thursday.

Ennis and Foster had previously lived together and were involved in an on-and-off relationship for several years, Tampa police said.

Elissa Ennis, the ex-girlfriend of Reuben Foster, who was recently claimed by the Washington Redskins following a domestic violence arrest, sat down for an interview with "Good Morning America" today where she recalled a series of abusive events. She said she changed her story because "love will have you doing things that's not in your best interest for the person you love".

"Reuben threw my clothes off the balcony", Ennis said of the Los Gatos incident.

During the alleged altercation, Ennis said she asked Foster how he would feel if someone were treating his mother or sister in a physical manner. Those charges were eventually dropped after Ennis said on the witness stand that she made them up, which she now says she did to protect Foster's career. "If true, you can be sure these allegations are nothing our organization would ever condone".

Ennis said that she's now realized, after receiving professional help, that her relationship with Foster was not love and that she's working on getting closure. "That's why I did what I did, because I loved him".

Foster was arrested in Florida in November, hours before his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, were set to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"The 49ers fully cooperated with authorities, assisted in locating Mr".

Foster was released by the team the morning after the incident, but was quickly claimed on waivers by Washington, and placed on the commissioner's exempt list.

Reuben Foster's accuser spoke to ABC News and said the Redskins" hiring of the linebacker was "slap in the face'.
