Sean Dyche Slams Liverpool for 'Cheating' During Reds' Win Over Burnley

The German said: "When players are sliding in like that it can get risky, because of the speed, and somebody has to say stop with these tackles".

Jurgen Klopp hinted that Joe Gomez has suffered a serious injury setback after the centre-half was forced off in the first half of Liverpool FC's 3-1 win at Burnley on Wednesday night.

Just yesterday, Liverpool broke their own record by having their best start to the Premier League campaign in the club's illustrious history after beating Burnley 3-1 at Turf Moor.

"It happened four or five times, everybody likes it, but Joe is injured, and probably not only a little bit".

Dyche sent his best wishes to the 21-year-old but insisted Mee had done nothing wrong. "I couldn't make out what part of that was right and wrong", Dyche told the media.

"I don't think there's many fans in this country that want to see tackling go out of the game".

"It's amusing, he didn't reference Daniel Sturridge's cheating", Dyche said a news conference on Thursday.

"I think the only one that was questionable was from Bardo [Phil Bardsley]".

Sean Dyche has called the challenge that led to Joe Gomez suffering a broken leg a "fantastic tackle" and dismissed Jürgen Klopp's criticisms of Burnley's approach as an attempt to "reinvent the rules".

I also really like a manager who improves players and that's what Howe does so well.

That is the view of Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson, who says that the Reds MUST win their game with Bournemouth (12.30) to put the pressure on City.

"Our lads went about their business terrifically last night and everyone else apart from the manager seemed to agree", he added.
