Wilder to swerve the rematch against Fury?

Veteran boxing promoter Barry Hearn who backed Joshua's statement told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast that, "I've been hearing a lot of things that simply aren't true. He put on a great performance, and we put boxing back on the map as far as the heavyweight division is concerned". Both entered the bout undefeated.

As a result, Fury is hoping for a rematch on home turf instead of in Wilder's native America to avoid any potential controversy or bias.

Experienced ref Reiss has run through the dramatic final minutes of a pulsating fight that had him working overtime for the safety of the two heavyweights.

But Saturday's draw could mean Joshua being frozen out and Wilder added: 'We had to show the world what it looks like for the best to fight the best, and look at the outcome. "A lot of people are going to be interested in this fight".

"Frank Warren said Arsenal, I said: 'No, let's have it at Old Trafford".

"So when I went down to count. not only did I get down, I scooted in so he could see my hand and hear my voice".

As he was interviewed at half-time wearing a classic red, white and black scalf, Fury said that he's already told promoter Frank Warren that he wants to fight Wilder inside the Theatre of Dreams - an option that is now being explored.

Reiss said he was certain that Fury wasn't knocked out despite lying motionless as he began his count. But Fury somehow rose to his feet and survived the rest of the fight. "And if you don't believe in God, that's a sign right there".

Wilder's next fight may be rationalised by his team with a "Risk vs. Reward" decision and a lucrative unification scrap against AJ may be somewhat more enticing and possibly easier night's work than Fury all over again.

When asked about his fighter's top choices, Hearn claimed Wilder is at the top because he has an actual belt. People always talked about the golden age, the golden era, and you just get sick and exhausted of hearing it when you're a fighter. "I just wanted to bring it back".

Reiss has been criticised for allowing Fury too much time to recover.
