The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Winter Weather Advisory starting at 6 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday.

Heavier snowfall is expected in central and eastern Missouri, where more than 6 inches of snow is possible. This storm system is complicated in that a degree or two difference in the temperatures could be the difference in a couple inches to several inches as temperatures will be right around the freezing mark for the bulk of the time it is snowing. "We'll see snow develop over the area as the night progresses Friday", said Winters.

A Winter Weather Advisory means snow could cause travel difficulties.

Highs Friday are expected to be in the mid to upper 30s before falling below freezing. Snow showers will linger Sunday night and into Monday morning before conditions dry out.

Snow showers will arrive across central IN by early Saturday morning. Highs on Saturday will reach the mid 30s, but afternoon wind chills will be in the mid to upper 20s. Be careful if you plan on driving to the game!

There is high confidence the event will occur and there is moderate confidence regarding snow and ice amounts as well as impacts.

For the northern half of the state, colder air will fight back allowing for more snow to fall than any other precipitation type.
