Ana's Bastet Challenge Limited Time Event Begins Today in Overwatch

Interestingly enough in that same Revelations web comic, there appears to be an image of Ana and Soldier 76 holed up in the apartment hunting Adbul Hakim reminiscing over the photograph of Soldier 76 and Vincent.

Not to spoil anything but it deals primarily with Ana's friendship with Solider 76, with the latter revealing that he had a male lover named Vincent that he gave up in order to be a world-saving soldier.

Blizzard Entertainment revealed that Overwatch hero Soldier: 76 aka Jack Morrison is gay in a new short story titled Bastet by writer Michael Chu with illustrations by Arnold Tsang and Bengal.

The first two characters you meet when you play Overwatch are Soldier: 76 and Tracer - and now both of them have been revealed as LGBT.

There have been various rumours that Blizzard might one day create a single-player expansion or spin-off, but nothing has ever materialised.

Unfortunately, Jack won't be sprinting off into the sunset with his former love, as his relationship with Vincent was a casualty of duty. "Nothing like that." "You've never looked in on him? I bet Gabe would have put a Blackwatch agent on him if you asked", Ana said. 76 denies that, adding that "He got married".

"Vincent deserved a happier life than the one I could give him".

Ana was unconvinced. In the early days, Jack talked about him often, floating a dream that the war would end quickly, and maybe he'd have a chance to return to a normal life.
Everything I fought for was to protect people like him...
But a normal life was never the reward for people like us.
According to Polygon, this isn't the first time we've seen this photo of Soldier: 76 and Vincent, either - it was first shown off in the comic "Reflections", which if you remember introduced Tracer as having a girlfriend.

Michael Chu would confirm on Twitter, "Jack and Vincent were in a romantic relationship many years ago".

While the response to the reveal of Soldier 76's sexuality has been overwhelming positive, not everybody is happy with how Blizzard has handled it.
