Arsenal's Ramsey set for Juventus medical on January 13

Aaron Ramsey has agreed to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer, according to reports from Italy.

The Welsh worldwide will bring an end to 10 years at Arsenal at the end of the season after talks over a new deal broke down with the Premier League giants in September. Ramsey will be the club's second highest paid player after Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo (€ 31 million per year).

The former Wales captain has been promised a significant role in the club implying that he is likely to be a central figure in a three man midfield preferred by Max Allegri.

The Wales worldwide is Arsenal's longest-serving playing, having moved to the Emirates from Cardiff City as a teenager back in 2008. Ramsey made his competitive debut for Arsenal in the Champions League third qualifying round against FC Twente on 13 August 2008 and his league debut a month later against Blackburn Rovers on 13 September 2008, marking it with an assist to Emmanuel Adebayor for Arsenal's fourth.

Reports in both Italy and the United Kingdom have suggested that Ramsey's exit will see him swap North London for Italy and the Serie A.

"In the last match I was very happy with him".

It's a great transfer for Aaron Ramsey.

'His future is for him, his family and his agent.

"Every day he's here with us, he's working very well". I want his focus to be on us, and to be on West Ham on Saturday.

"We can not sign permanently".

But Emery insists the player is willing to give his all.

As a result, he has been allowed to discuss terms with various clubs this January, including Juve, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, about a possible move in the summer.

And Ramsey said as much to him during Arsenal's 3-0 win over Blackpool in the FA Cup last weekend.
