Chris Jericho's First All Elite Wrestling Shirt Released

Backed by the funds of the owners of National Football League franchise Jacksonville Jaguars - Shahid and Tony Khan - Rhodes and The Bucks have left New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor to build new ground, and they've already started with some huge signings in the form of Chris Jericho and former WWE star Neville. However, with Jericho's history, he could always be trolling. He described the move as being similar to win Hulk Hogan left WWF for WCW.

Jericho will also be allowed to hold another cruise - Chris Jericho's Rock 'N'Wrestling Rager at Sea - following the success of his first one a year ago. "So, when I showed up at the press conference, now everybody knows, and I think people take AEW a whole lot more seriously than they did before I was involved".

With Jericho joining AEW, that nearly certainly means that he won't be returning to WWE anytime soon.

"Jericho said: "'I'm not here for the money, I've already got the money".

Now his focus will be on AEW and considering his vast experience and unbridled talent as a professional wrestler, Jericho is expected to play a very crucial role in promoting the new league. Following the announcement, WWE removed Jericho from the SmackDown LIVE roster to the Alumni section. "I had no idea it was going to be a huge pyro display that was going on for about two minutes".

During an appearance on X-Pac's podcast, Khan stated, per WrestlingInc: "I have spent some time with Bill, I really like Bill, a lot, and he's one of the greatest drawing cards ever in the business". The bottom line is that the Khan family isn't messing around. "They want to make a go at this and you know they have a lot of money and they have a lot of capital".

AEW is the brainchild of another former WWE star Cody Rhodes - son of wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes - and The Young Bucks, an Indie sensation tag team. I think most people would say, "Yeah, he'll talk to other places, but he's probably going to end up in WWE". They might've heard of this New Japan, they might've known some of the guys that were in it, but they weren't really paying attention to it. Jericho also talked about TV deals being on the table, and said that was a big part of him signing.
