Impossible for Chelsea to sell Barcelona target Willian says Sarri

Impossible for Chelsea to sell Barcelona target Willian says Sarri

According to Daily Mail, Barcelona are set to launch a £50 million player-plus cash bid for Willian.

Even though Willian has just turned 30 and only has 18 months left on his current contract Chelsea value him higher than the proposal that was put to them by Barcelona representatives on Thursday.

The 21-year-old right wing has only played 363 minutes for Barca, however, scoring only two goals while suffering a pair of short-term injuries.

It is believed the LaLiga leaders are now ready to offer €42 million (R669 million) plus Malcom for the Chelsea winger.

When it was suggested to Sarri that he would not want to lose Willian, the Italian said: "Of course not, because Willian for us is really very important".

"As you know very well I am not in control of the transfer market", Sarri told a press conference today. "And he has the potential to score more".

Alvaro Morata has also been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea and is expected to depart in one way or another this month, with Sevilla interested in a loan deal and Atletico Madrid said to be considering signing him permanently.

The Blues looks set to lose experienced midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Monaco soon and Sarri has already stated that he would like to sign a player to replace the Spain worldwide. "I think he that he needs to go", Sarri added.
