Michy Batshuayi to return to Chelsea as Valencia loan cut short

Batshuayi joined the Spanish giants last summer on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea, but the Belgian has been largely underwhelming during his stint in Spain.

This season so far the Spanish side have been struggling in the league, and we reported this week about the precarious position their manager now finds himself in.

"Batshuayi's situation is very clear".

The Belgian striker has endured a tough time since his move to Spain, netting only two goals in 23 matches for Los Che despite having enjoyed a massively fruitful spell at Borussia Dortmund earlier in 2018, bagging seven times in 10 games. We are negotiating the player's exit with various other clubs.

"The player knows and we hope to reach a solution soon for the good of all parties".

'We are expecting an exit in the next few hours or days'.

This was disclosed by Valencia's sporting director, Mateu Alemany on Thursday. "He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation".

And Valencia have now confirmed that they have told the striker that he has no future at the club. Marco Silva's need for a striker is well documented.

Everton are reportedly planning a winter approach for Michy Batshuayi, who is scheduled to return from an unsuccessful loan move with Valencia.

Premier League rules do not permit English top-flight clubs to loan more than one player to the same club.
