Missing Wisconsin teen found alive

At the time, authorities believe Closs was inside her home when her parents were killed, but was gone by the time deputies arrived at the scene.

The Barron County Sheriff's Department announced on its Facebook page just before 8 p.m. Thursday that Closs has been found alive, and that a suspect has been taken into custody. Gillian Drummond, a spokeswoman for the Wisconsin Department of Justice, and Leonard Peace, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Wisconsin, declined comment Thursday evening (local time).

"To all of you who joined us in keeping Jayme Closs in our thoughts and prayers.tonight our prayers have been answered!"

The Barron County sheriff's office plans to hold a news conference Friday morning (local time) to discuss the case.

What led to Jayme being found is unknown at this time.

Police responded to the house after a odd 911 call just before 1 a.m. local time when someone called from Denise Closs' cellphone, and the 911 dispatcher heard "a lot of yelling", according to records from the Barron County Sheriff's Department obtained by ABC News.

He acknowledged that Jayme may not be the same person she was before she disappeared.

The department thanks the Douglas Co Sheriff's Department and agencies assisting them. The call was "pinged" to the Closs home.

The call came from Denise's phone, according to the dispatch logs.

Before Closs was reported missing, a mysterious 911 call was made from her home.

When authorities responded to the home minutes later, they found the front door kicked in and the couple had been shot to death.

Jayme Closs, whose parents, aged 56 and 46, were discovered shot in their family home past year, was located on Thursday evening, police said.

Detectives pursued thousands of tips, watched dozens of surveillance videos and conducted numerous searches in the effort to find Jayme.

Both James and Denise were long-time employees of the Jennie-O Turkey Store in Barron.
