Nokia 8.1 Plus renders show a punch-hole screen

Nokia 8.1 Plus renders show a punch-hole screen

Just before Halloween of previous year, HMD Global launched a new smartphone in China called the Nokia X7.

Theres a regular fingerprint reader on the back too, solidifying the position of the Nokia 8-series as a premium mid-ranger. These images give us a 360-degree look at this device. The Nokia 9 sounds like a higher-end design than the Nokia 8.1 Plus, with a higher model number, an in-screen fingerprint reader, and a insane five-camera setup on the back. According to a new leak, HMD Global might also jump the bandwagon this year as an upcoming Nokia phone will most probably feature a display with a circular hole to house the selfie camera. It shows the edge-to-edge display of the alleged Nokia 8.1 Plus with a hole in the display on the top left corner like the Galaxy A8s.

The phone has a dual rear camera system with Zeiss sensor and dual LED flash. Also featuring a 6.18-inch FullHD+ screen with PureDisplay technology that provides it with HDR10 support, the Malaysian variant of the phone comes standard with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.

I spy: a top headphone jack and a bottom USB-C port.

Since this is just a CAD file, the leak doesn't have any information on the price or specs, and we're not even sure if "Nokia 8.1 Plus" is the final name. The Android 9 Pie update ensures that Nokia smartphones improve with time, thanks to intuitive AI which learns user habits to ensure the most effective and efficient experience. That is the best guess of the leaker of these renders.
