Peter Farrelly Apologizes for Exposing Himself to Cameron Diaz

On the same day that Vallelonga's Twitter feed disappeared due the Trump tweet, TheCut published an embarrassing report on "Green Book" director Peter Farrelly's bad habit of flashing his peter on set, unsubtly titled: "Green Book Director Used to Flash His Penis As a Joke". Now, I know they don't like to talk about it, but it was well covered at the time.

"Green Book" has continued to pick up accolades, including three Golden Globes on Sunday for best screenplay, best motion picture - musical or comedy, and best performance by a supporting actor in a motion picture for Ali.

They included pretending Peter had a mysterious blotch on his stomach that he wanted a colleague to look at.

Farrelly issued a statement to ET on Wednesday, admitting that the descriptions of his behavior recounted in the 20-year-old Newsweek articles were "true". "I spent my life trying to bring this story of overcoming differences and finding common ground to the screen, and I am incredibly sorry to everyone associated with "Green Book".

Green Book screenwriter and producer Nick Vallelonga has issued an apology for a 2015 tweet in which he amplified Donald Trump's thoroughly debunked claim that Muslims in New Jersey celebrated the September 11 attacks.

The Cut also resurfaced a 1998 Observer article by Nicole Barker in which Farrelly carefully explained the idea behind the "joke" he said he had pulled "easily 500 times", including the first time he met Diaz. "That's what got her in".

The actor with 50 credits on his resume has since deleted his Twitter account. "The truth is, I'm embarrassed and it makes me cringe now". Said musician and Shirley godson Dr. Muhammad Hatim: "The acting, the interaction, was just so moving for me, to see the spirit of Dr. Shirley was captured in such a magnificent way, I just wanted to thank everybody for that". "Finally she says, 'Let me see it.' And I lift my shirt and have it.' - he grins - 'hanging over'".

"I want to apologize".

Golden Globe victor Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen star in the film.

"@realDonaldTrump 100% correct. Muslims in Jersey City cheering when towers went down". 'Tell me, ' I say, digesting this news and feeling a complex mixture of relief and disappointment, 'which you find more tantalizing, the thought of someone laughing at your penis, or the thought of someone laughing at your films?' 'Tantalizing?!' Bobby echoes, perhaps just a fraction alarmed.

"Nick Vallelonga wrote Green Book", Horowitz tweeted Wednesday.
