Piers Morgan hospitalized with mysterious illness

Piers Morgan has fans anxious after posting a photo of himself from a hospital bed on Twitter.

"I can only apologize for all the upset & offence I know this development will cause", Morgan, 53, continued, not sharing any details about his mystery health crisis.

Despite many followers sending the breakfast TV wind up their best wishes for a swift recovery, not all of those contacting Piers on social media were sympathetic.

It is not immediately clear what put Morgan in the hospital in the first place or why he is still there.

Piers could be seen with a tube attached to his face, and was wearing a hospital gown. "Unusual. I might be wrong though".

The photo was taken at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.

He also had breathing apparatus hooked around his ears leading into his nose - and he didn't look too good.

One respondent questioned why Piers had a "need" for sedatives, giving the former Mirror journalist the opportunity to describe the pain of the procedure.

'I blame eating a mouthful of vegan sausage roll, Brexit & Donald Trump'.

According to the NHS, gastritis occurs when the lining of the stomach becomes inflamed, while duodenitis is inflammation of the duodenum - the shortest part of the small intestine.

He'd regularly been sharing his outrage at the vegan sausage roll before then, which acted as brilliant free promotion for Greggs.
