PSG reportedly submit €35m bid for Zenit’s Leandro Paredes

Cagliari ace Nicola Barella has also been linked with a move to West London as well as Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka as an alternative if they fail to land Argentina worldwide who has impressed for Zenit Saint Petersburg over the past two years.

Parades could make his Chelsea debut in next week's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham.

Zenit then signed the 24-year-old in 2017 for €23m.

Sarri's side are mulling their options but now risk missing out on the Argentina worldwide altogether, as PSG have launched their own €35m (£31m) bid.

The Ligue 1 champions have made a bid in the region of £31m for the midfielder, according to Sky in Italy.

The Blues could now turn their attention to Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella, who is believed to be valued at 50 million.

In an even bigger blow to Chelsea, RMC claim that Paredes is desperate to move to the French capital and play for PSG and it is his desire to join them ahead of Chelsea.

He will, however, not be available for Saturday's clash with Arsenal having not been registered by midday on Friday.

Sarri - who is closing in on a deal to sign another Argentina star in Gonzalo Higuain - has consulted with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia regarding his hopes of adding to the squad this month.
