Trailer for The Punisher season 2 promises lots of violence, emotional problems

If Frank Castle's first appearance in Season 2 of Daredevil and Season 1 of Marvel's The Punisher taught us anything it is that no one leaves a trail of carnage behind like the ruthless vigilante played by Jon Bernthal. We've been waiting to see exactly what to expect in the new season and now, we get a close look at some of the most intense moments from the sophomore campaign of The Punisher. "He thinks that he has the right to judge me", Russo seethes.

It's soon uncovered that Bendix suffered a similar tragedy as Castle - whose family was, of course, brutally slaughtered - as she tells him, "They killed everybody I've ever cared about". Meanwhile, those same forces will align with Billy Russo (Ben Barnes), who's still got his own scores to settle, once incoming religious zealot John Pilgrim (Josh Stewart) figures out they have a mutual enemy in Frank. I thought Bernthal was solid in Season 2 of Daredevil, but judging by this trailer, it's just a lot of violence, which I suppose is what people want out of a Punisher show.

That headline reflects the fact that along with being burned out watching Marvel Netflix shows, I am now burned out writing about their promotional stuff as well.

The Punisher is executive produced by Steve Lightfoot along with Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

Or as Benthal's Punisher says ominously in the trailer above, "Let me be what I'm meant to be".
