'Uri: The Surgical Strike' embarks Rs 12.43 cr on Day 2

The Surgical Strike may have received mixed reviews but the audience seems to be high on "josh". The fact that it got released ahead of 2019 elections, has made many label it as a propaganda film.

Despite clashing with Simmba and various other films, Uri: The Surgical Strike witnesses a remarkable growth. The film collected Rs 3.5 crore on the day of its release, taking its collection so far to around Rs 7 crore. "It's a surreal feeling that audience has accepted our film with open arms", he told media. "I am really happy for the actors and director of the film because it is Adtiya's (Dhar) first film as a director", he said. The actor, who was seen in films like "Raazi", "Sanju" and "Manmarziyaan" previous year, will soon be gearing up for Karan Johar's "Takht", which will also feature Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. With a jump of 15 per cent, the earnings of Saturday was around Rs 4 crore. The final numbers are awaited.
