Xiaomi cuts prices of four smartphones, including Redmi Note 6 in India

The device was spotted on the benchmarks with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and 6GB of RAM.

-The Redmi Note 7 is the first Note phone from Xiaomi to come with a waterdrop notch display.

The Redmi Note 7 also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and will be available in blue, gold and twilight black color options. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie sensor as well. Whenever global versions of the Redmi Note 7 reach retailers in the States, we can expect the prices to be a bit higher, but still plenty cheap for what you get.

That said, this 48 MP rear camera on the Redmi Note 7 is a part of the dual camera setup which is placed vertically on the back of the smartphone in the top-left corner. It has 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM options and internal storage options as 32GB and 64GB options. As far as the overall design of the Redmi Note 7 is concerned the phone looks like Mi Play that was launched in China in December previous year. Redmi says the Redmi Note 7 Pro has been made for users who are more focused on camera performance and plan to unveil it after the Spring Festival.


Before we talk too much about the phone, the Redmi Note 7 is important as it's the first device to be released by the newly independent Redmi brand.

To inspire greater confidence, the Redmi Note 7 is now covered by an 18-month warranty instead of the usual 12 months. The Note 7 includes a primary camera of 48MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture on the back, while the secondary camera includes a 5MP sensor for portrait shots.

It is backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery and with the QuickCharge 4.0 support, the device can be fully charged in 1 hour 40 minutes. The phone also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. USB-C, headphone jack, IR-blaster, gotta catch em all. Rs 10,380, 4GB RAM for 1199 Yuan which is approx. Well, the base version will sell in China for the equivalent of $147, with a 4GB/64GB version priced at around $177 and the top specced 6GB/64GB Redmi Note 7 close to $206. Xiaomi also appointed William Lu, who earlier served as President & CEO of cash-strapped Gionee, as the vice president of Xiaomi Group and the general manager of Redmi in China.
