7 women claim singer Ryan Adams was inappropriate

At least seven women have reportedly accused singer Ryan Adams, the ex-husband of Mandy Moore, of sexual misconduct and allegedly teased women with career opportunities as he tried to pursue them for sex.

Mandy Moore, left, alleged in a New York Times report that her ex, Ryan Adams, was emotionally abusive and controlling of her career.

Adams concluded his Twitter thread on Wednesday by writing, "As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly".

Others who spoke to The Times about Adams includes a now-20-year-old fan identified as Ava, who claims she began talking with Adams in 2013 when she was 14 and played the bass.

According to Bridgers, the "Come Pick Me Up Singer", 44, used his status in the music industry to kickstart her career, but when she denied turning things sexual, Adams shut down any help with her music.

Moore, who launched her career as a major pop star during the '90s, shared her experiences in the NYT expose that detailed a bigger picture of Adams and how he was "controlling" in many of his relationships with women.

"If people knew they would say I was like R Kelley [sic] lol", Adams allegedly wrote in one text message.

Also through his attorney, Adams believes that numerous women who are accusing him of the aforementioned behavior are just upset their careers didn't work out the way they wanted and are thus taking it out and laying the responsibility on him.

Model Megan Butterworth and Ryan Adams attend Capitol Records 75th Anniversary Gala at Capitol Records Tower on November 15, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. "And you, you were in a band when I was born".

Moore says that he was psychologically abusive and would lord his accomplishments over her. Adams responded roughly an hour after its publication. "His controlling behavior essentially did block my ability to make new connections in the industry during a very pivotal and potentially lucrative time - my entire mid-to-late 20s", she said.

Adams denied all the claims through his lawyer, specifically saying that Moore's memories were "completely inconsistent with his view of the relationship". But their professional relationship quickly turned sexual and then, according to Bridgers, emotionally abusive. But the leagal [sp] eagles see you.

Now, Moore has said, "I want to make music. Rats. I'm fucking taking you down".

"What you experience with him - the treatment, the destructive, manic sort of back and forth behaviour - feels so exclusive", Moore said. "Let's learn I bait", the post mysteriously ended, accompanied by a comical phot of Ryan holding what appeared to be dessert snacks over his eyes. "And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing", wrote Adams.

On Twitter, Adams apologised "deeply and unreservedly" to anyone he had hurt, saying he was "not a ideal man" who had made many mistakes. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false.

'I apologize for my remarks, ' the North Carolina native tweeted.

While she says he never hit her, Butterworth claims Adams was "rageful" and physically intimidated her as well as harassed her online.

'When someone told me we got married I thought they were joking.
