Anthony Joshua laughs off the rumours he is ducking main heavyweight rivals

Joshua, who is reportedly close to securing a fight against United States rival Jarrell Miller in Madison Square Garden, has repeatedly been linked with a string of high-profile fights against some of the division's biggest names.

Tyson Fury made the journey last December and is close to agreeing terms with WBC champion Deontay Wilder for their rematch.

"Legacy is about creating iconic moments and Joshua in NY is an iconic moment".

Who will win out of AJ and Miller?

Miller dismissed that notion during an appearance on Sirius XM Boxing but claimed the fight was about "80 per cent" done.

Promoter Eddie Hearn says there is a "strong possibility" Anthony Joshua will make his American debut against Jarrell Miller in NY.

"Right now we have got our heads around this happening", Hearn told BBC Radio 5 live.

"He definitely needs to build his profile in the United States but knowing how he looks, behaves and fights he will be a superstar in America".

Hearn said: "I would say it is 80 per cent likely that Joshua will fight Miller next".

"We are not done with a deal yet, but there is a strong chance".

If Joshua and Wilder are both triumphant in their fights, a fall showdown between two of the most explosive heavyweights in recent memory, could be inevitable. But there are those close to him who believe he began to warm to the idea when he joined Hearn in NY in mid-December, as Hearn co-promoted a fight between his fighter, Rocky Fielding, and Canelo Alvarez.

"Legacy is about creating iconic moments and Joshua in NY is an iconic moment".

"He is going to go there and completely turn the USA boxing scene on its head as they are going to see a real star".

But after failing to secure a big enough opponent, AJ will now attempt to crack America. I wouldn't waste my time going to the fight, I know what's going to happen already.
