Assassin’s Creed III Remastered given March release date

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered given March release date

Ubisoft today announced that the remastered version of Assassin's Creed III will launch for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on March 29. Which is how we'll be playing. The company confirmed last month that Assassin's Creed Rogue will be remastered and re-released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Mostly it's a faithful remaster, and we'll be keen to see how it looks in 4K with HDR - because the HDR implementation across both Origins and Odyssey is superb. Together with improvements to Assassin's Creed III's ergonomics and gameplay mechanics. These include several extra missions which were released as DLC (Hidden Secrets and Benedict Arnold), plus the full Tyranny of King Washington expansion too. "Also included is Assassin's Creed III Liberation Remastered, an enhanced version of Aveline de Grandpre's battle for freedom in 18th-century New Orleans".

Assassin's Creed III Liberation will be bundled with Assassin's Creed III Remastered this spring. And everyone else will be able to purchase it as a standalone game for $39.99 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Ubisoft is a leading creator, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and services, with a rich portfolio of world-renowned brands, including Assassin's Creed, Just Dance, Tom Clancy's video game series, Rayman, Far Cry and Watch Dogs.

The game was widely considered a step back from the critically-acclaimed Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, despite paving the way for naval combat which played a central focus in follow-up Black Flag.
