The move has been put back on numerous occasions and now, with the Arsenal game confirmed as being played at Wembley, there are only five home games left.

Spurs refuse to lie down in the title race and although they've never been in the box seat, they remain just five points adrift of both sides.

"The people are disappointed, we all love Wembley, it's only because we expect to already play at our new stadium".

Speaking to Sky Sports, Merson said: "This will be a hard game for Spurs as Leicester have been competing and doing well against the big teams - those sides have a go at them and they can counterattack with the pace of Jamie Vardy, while you also have James Maddison and Demarai Gray in support".

Paul Merson is backing Tottenham Hotspur to keep up the pressure on the Premier League's top two with a 2-1 victory over Leicester City at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

The uncertainty over when that move will happen does not appear to have impacted Spurs on the pitch.

The Tottenham striker was initially expected to be out for two months after suffering the injury in the closing stages of the defeat by Manchester United in January.

"I think they are doing a fantastic job".

"He's very optimistic and determined to play as soon as possible - it's unbelievable but he's doing well, if you see him he's almost ready to play but we need to be realistic too and of course in between all the areas to take the best decision".

And ahead of a last-16 Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund, Kane has given Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino a boost by beginning his on-field rehabilitation along with Alli.

"He's so close to come back again".

But he warned: "We'll see if we are capable of winning three points on Sunday first".

Pochettino also denied that he and assistant coach Jesus Perez had a secret dinner date with David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane during the week.

"I was with Jesus and another person".

"Only we say hello because we met by coincidence". We finished, almost at the same time.
