Raphael Honigstein reveals what he knows about Jurgen Klopp’s future

"I think that he will renew his contract beyond 2022", he said.

Before Klopp took over at Borussia Dortmund in 2008, he was on the radar of Bayern, who instead opted for Jurgen Klinsmann-but speculation over a future move to the Allianz Arena has continued for the 51-year-old.

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic is on the radar of Liverpool dating back to past year due to his form for the German Bundesliga club.

"If he is to become champion or Champions League victor, he will 99.9 percent stay longer".

"[If Klopp extends his deal], that does not mean that he will never go to Bayern".

That is a worry, especially given that Bayern boast one of world football's most lethal finishers in Robert Lewndowski.

Jurgen Klopp's current contract with Liverpool ends in 2021/22 but the fans want him to stay beyond that.

"He is flexible and ambitious enough to think about this opportunity, if there is another opportunity".

The situation was unfamiliar and hard for the 20-year-old, but he is confident he will be back in the starting XI soon, having appeared as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday. "If you write that already, a lot of people will speak", he said.

You can't go and get an absolute top-liner unless they've only got a couple of seasons left of their career or you go and buy the next really good young thing and nearly bleed him in for a year or so.

Fabinho's experience of title success with AS Monaco tells the midfielder Liverpool must enjoy the race in the Premier League this season.

Owen scored 158 goals in 297 games for Liverpool between 1997 and 2004 so he knows a thing or two about strikers and he thinks the Reds might either have to go for an experienced player who is happy to play as a squad player, or for a young hotshot who can learn from the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

"I feel good; it was good to get a bit of fitness in there at the weekend and that'll help me get back to full fitness and to push on and hopefully start a few games in the next few weeks".
