Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation for battery, according to The Kansas City Star. KCTV reported that it's the second such incident reported at that address since March 5. The source said that the incident was against the couple's son, resulting in a broken arm. Hill's fiancee, Crystal Espinal, is listed under "others involved". "We'll have no further comment at this time".

As of Friday afternoon, Hill has not been charged with a crime. According to Overland Park police, the case was closed three days later when prosecution was declined.

Hill pleaded guilty in 2015 to domestic assault and battery by strangulation after punching and choking Espinal, who was then eight weeks pregnant with their son, on December 11, 2014.

After being kicked off of OSU's football team the wide receiver transferred to West Alabama and was drafted in the fifth round by the Chiefs in 2016.

As part of his plea agreement for the domestic abuse charge, Hill attended a 52-week batterer intervention course and was supervised for two years.

As for Thursday's incident, the Chiefs are aware of the investigation, but didn't offer any new details in a statement that was released Friday. Hill eventually had the domestic assault conviction dismissed and expunged after he completed the probation requirements in August 2018. "Every team has that, but it gives you confidence in human beings that they can make a change when they put their mind to it and do things the right way".

He had 87 catches for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, helping quarterback Patrick Mahomes win league MVP honours and the Chiefs win a third consecutive AFC West title. This comes as Hill is reportedly in negotiations to sign a "record-breaking" deal with the Chiefs.
