Conor McGregor arrested in Miami after run-in with fan

The man whose phone allegedly was smashed by Conor McGregor said Tuesday that he thought he was getting a handshake from the UFC star when the incident took place. He did plead guilty to the same and was made to undertake community service for five days.

Samuel Rabin, McGregor's lawyer, confirmed his client did play a role in the altercation, and asserted McGregor plans to cooperate with law enforcement. On the way out, we were just waiting for our vehicle from the valet. After the fighter allegedly slapped it away and then stomped on it, he took the phone without giving it back.

"He came to shake my hand, and as soon as he came to shake my hand, he pulled me in and grabbed my phone and started smashing it", Abdirzak said.

McGregor was arrested by Miami police following an encounter with Ahmed Abdirzak, a United Kingdom man on holiday in Miami.

In a recent report by TMZ Sports, the victim gave his version of the story.

Abdirzak says that not only did McGregor destroy his phone, but the Irish fighter pocketed it and walked off. I just kept asking if I can have my phone back.

Abdirzk, who valued the phone at $1,000 in the police report, said it was more about what was on the phone that hurts him.

McGregor's fighting career has been on hold since UFC 229 in October. "Thank you all ❤️", the 30-year-old wrote.

UFC star Conor McGregor is in another mess following a minor altercation with a United Kingdom resident in Miami.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter is already facing a 6-month suspension and was fined United States dollars 50,000 for his October post-fight brawl with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team. Conor McGregor is seen on the sidelines before the National Football League game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on October 14, 2018 in Arlington, Texas.
