Conor McGregor facing civil suit over cellphone incident outside Miami nightclub

Ahmed Abdirzk, the alleged victim, told TMZ that the entire incident started when he saw McGregor while waiting for his vehicle at the nightclub valet station.

McGregor was recently released from jail after being arrested and charged with robbery and criminal damage in Miami.

McGregor allegedly "punched" the mobile device out of Abdirzak's hand and began stomping on it repeatedly, his suit says.

Prior to his release, McGregor's team issued a statement on his behalf, saying: "Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation over a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement". In the video, he appears to pick up the phone after stomping on it.

The cameraman then rounds their visual obstruction and McGregor can be seen standing in front of a phone on the ground, before he reaches down and puts it in his pocket.

Abdirzak said that McGregor feigned a handshake outside the club before taking his phone and destroying it.

Video emerged on Friday of the moment McGregor seized the 22-year-old's phone and smashed it.

"He came to shake my hand, and as soon as he comes to shake my hand he pulls me in and grabs my phone and starts smashing it", Abdirzak told TMZ. "All his security guards literally surrounded me, pushing me out of the way".

Otherwise, it should be noted that McGregor had just finished his community service work after an arrest a year ago in NY, where the former UFC champion ultimately pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and avoided jail time.
