IPhone ‘shields man from bow and arrow attack’ in Nimbin, NSW

Police said the 43-year-old man had driven to his home in Nimbin, a town in New South Wales, and discovered a man on his property who was armed with a bow and arrow.

A man has been charged after he allegedly fired a bow and arrow at another man in Nimbin today.

At about 9am, the victim drove into his driveway on Nimbin Road and got out of his vehicle.

He got out his vehicle and tried to take a picture of the man who then allegedly fired an arrow at him.

The 43-year-old arrived home at his Nimbin property at 9am on Wednesday morning and got out of his auto.

An Australian man used his smartphone as a shield to block an arrow that was sacked at him during a skirmish, according to police.

Sadly, his screen protector was no match for the sharpened arrow.

He did not require medical treatment, police said.

Police were called and officers from Richmond Police District arrested a 39-year-old man.

Police later arrested a 39-year-old man at the scene, where he has since been charged with assault and damage offences.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Lismore Local Court on Monday 15 April 2019.
