Israeli forces launch 2 airstrikes across Gaza Strip

"I'd suggest to Hamas - don't count on it".

The demonstrators gathered on Friday afternoon in eastern Gaza Strip, close to the fence of the border with Israel, waved Palestinian flags, burned tires, chanted anti-Israel slogans and threw stones at the soldiers stationed on the border.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that allowing Qatari funds to be transferred into Gaza was part of a broader strategy to keep Hamas and the Palestinian Authority divided, preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Avichai Adraee, Israeli army spokesman said on his Twitter account that the jets "struck a number of targets, including targets inside a military complex in the northern Gaza Strip, as well as two naval units".

Sources in the Gaza Strip also reported that IOF carried out barbaric attacks on fishermen boats north of Gaza City on Sunday morning. No one was injured. Explosive devices hung on their ropes exploded over Israel's Eshkol Council area without causing damage.Meanwhile, Israeli police evacuated a forest in the Sedot Negev Settlement Regional Council on Saturday afternoon, March 9, when a balloon carrying an anti-tank head from Gaza entered to land in that area.


Israeli forces said Saturday they had launched several strikes against Hamas sites in Gaza in response to a projectile launched from the coastal enclave the night before.

At least 255 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the movement began in March 2018, the majority shot during weekly border demonstrations and clashes.

Israel and Turkey in 2016 ended a rift triggered by the Israeli storming of a Gaza-bound ship that left 10 Turkish activists dead and led to a downgrading of diplomatic ties.

During the talks, al-Hindi said, Hamas has reiterated its demands, including lifting Israel's years-long siege on Gaza, increasing the fishing zone for Palestinian fishermen and solving a chronic power crisis in the strip.
