Joe Russo is all set to visit India to meet Avengers fans

One of the most anticipated films of the year, 'Avengers: Endgame'has been directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The book mirrors the true story of its author, Walker, who himself was an army medic who was caught and convicted for bank robbery. It is being said that Russo will visit Mumbai in April to meet fans.

Joe Russo who earlier helmed Marvel movies such as films Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and now, Avengers: Endgame has selected India as his first destination as a part of their Avengers: Endgame promotion tour in the Asia Pacific region.

AGBO acquired the rights to Nico Walker's best-seller "Cherry" in August.

It tells of an Iraq War veteran who comes home only to struggle with PTSD and opioid addiction.

This film will go on floors once the brothers' Avengers: Endgame, which will reportedly also feature Tom Holland releases next month.

Meanwhile, Holland, 22, is now working with another of his Avengers franchise colleagues - he and Sebastian Stan are in the middle of filming the drama The Devil All The Time, which is based on Donald Ray Pollock's 2011 gothic novel of the same name. And, amidst all this excitement, the makers on Tuesday announced Joe Russo's (one-half of the Russo brothers) visit to India.

The film, which opened to good reviews, minted over Rs. 120 crore in its opening weekend.'Avengers: Endgame' is slated to hit the theatres on April 26.
