LeBron James expects postseason with Lakers in future

LeBron James might miss out on the National Basketball Association playoffs this season but the Lakers forward is confident he will be back in the postseason mix in years to come.

Lopez had 20 points and seven rebounds, and Otto Porter Jr. finished with 19 for the Bulls.

A 34-year-old LeBron James might not be able to lead this team to the playoffs, but a 34-year-old Kobe Bryant certainly could.

The Lakers scored 16 points in the first quarter, and the Bulls closed with an 11-1 run to take an 18-point lead into the second quarter. Everybody just had a joy for the game, happy for each other, everybody was moving the ball, passing it. "It felt like everybody got shots tonight". James turned in a vintage performance, putting up 36 points on 15-for-23 shooting, including several highlight-worthy dunks, to go with 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals in 33 minutes.

They fell behind as many as 20 points before mounting a comeback, with James leading the charge and Kuzma chipping in during a big third quarter.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points to lead six Milwaukee scorers in double figures in a win at New Orleans.

They resembled the Showtime Lakers on one particular play in the fourth quarter, when James tossed the ball to Hart in transition, with no Bulls players back on defense. He was 4 of 17 for 11 points.

Tuesday's win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Lakers. But they are still playing with a sharp edge, thanks to their team captain. Los Angeles went ahead for the first time since making the first basket of the game when Kuzma put in a layup for a 66-64 lead with 8:48 left in the third quarter. "I'll be watching if we're not in there and it looks like we're not".

But, the Lakers are once again expected to become major players in this June's free agency, and with enough cap space to sign another superstar to pair with LeBron, there's a lot of optimism in Los Angeles, that all the frustrations will end soon.
