‘No Man’s Sky’s’ Next Big Update Called ‘Beyond,’ Due This Summer

No Man's Sky: Beyond is the next evolution of what began with the game's last major update, No Man's Sky NEXT, which introduced the beginning of Hello Games' multiplayer plan, a third-person perspective, and much more.

No Man's Sky is about to receive a major update.

Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray remarked that No Man's Sky Online will provide "a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together".

Sandbox spacetourism survival sim No Man's Sky will expand again with another honking great free update this summer, developers Hello Games announced today.

"Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action". There won't be a subscription or microtransactions, and the feature will be free for all existing players. However, this feature is limited.

The Beyond update will actually include more than just a multiplayer update - it will include three updates that were initially due to be released separately. He also noted that more details would be revealed "when we know we can be precise". We now know very little about this update.

It's unexpected but so rewarding to see so many accolades and nominations for No Man's Sky as Best On-going or Most Evolved this year.

Murray added how his team already mentioned in early 2019 that they were working on three new updates for the game. We'll continue to support No Man's Sky in this way for the foreseeable future.
