SLAM DUNK: Ryan Moore aces 17th at Players Championship

Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat has a score to settle at the Players Championship this week. His hole-in-one is the ninth in the history of THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass' island green. "I didn't have the swing that I have now".

Italian Francesco Molinari has also gained momentum coming into the Players after a spectacular putting performance nabbed him the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week. "So then from there, obviously we got excited".

"I think visually it's you see green grass and you feel a little more comfortable. Now, I can go for it", said Kiradech, who is ranked 48th on the FedEx Cup points list.

"I had to put the hammer down on 16 and 17 and 18", recalled Woods on Tuesday about his run for the title a year ago.

Woods will be grouped with last year's victor Webb Simpson and 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed, teeing off for round one at 1:27pm EST (1727 GMT) tomorrow. Instead he finished tied-30th.

Tommy Fleetwood plays his shot from the sixth tee during the first round of THE PLAYERS Championship golf tournament at TPC Sawgrass - Stadium Course. He missed a scheduled tournament for the first time since returning previous year from spinal fusion surgery, and said it was more to make sure a growing problem that started last month in Los Angeles did not get worse.

Kiradech and his wife Tunyatorn Chaiyarat have quickly settled down in Orlando with the Thai star relishing the opportunity to compete against the world's best every week.

Tiger won last year's Tour Championship for his 80th PGA Tour title. "It's clearly the next step for me to win over here but winning's not easy and I've just got to keep plodding away", Fleetwood said.

This week's Players is Taylor's 11 start at the Tour's flagship event. "You have to hit the ball well, have a good mental game and have some good luck to beat these guys", he said.
