Wilson-Raybould says she's running as a Liberal in fall federal election

She said she's eager to meet with them.

Trudeau is said to have used undue influence to pressure Wilson-Raybould into intervening in the matter so that, instead of facing prosecution, SNC-Lavalin would be allowed a deferred prosecution agreement.

"I haven't yet had the opportunity to review her entire testimony", Trudeau said earlier this week.

"I was sickened and appalled by [Wilson-Raybould's] story of inappropriate and, frankly, borderline illegal pressure brought to bear on her by the highest levels of Justin Trudeau's government", he said, reports CBC.

Monsef said she is looking forward to working especially on moving forward with the feminist global development policy Bibeau introduced.

Like Wilson-Raybould before him, MacAulay said he didn't see the move to Veterans Affairs as a demotion.

The shuffle was prompted by Wilson-Raybould's resignation as Veterans Affairs minister.

Gerald Butts, who resigned as the prime minister's principal secretary amid the allegations, is scheduled to testify before the committee on Wednesday. On Friday, Trudeau did not take questions from reporters - a departure from past cabinet shuffle events at Rideau Hall.

After her testimony the leader of the opposition Conservative Party, Andrew Scheer, said the federal police must open an investigation, and he called on Trudeau to step down, saying the prime minister has lost his moral authority to govern.

"Given the subsequent chain of events that include portions of conversations that reference enormous pressure and political interference and the subsequent removal of the former attorney general and justice minister from the position. there is reason to believe that pressure and interference did occur", the letter says.

"We believe that there are reasonable and probable grounds to suspect that the conduct of the Prime Minister's Office has crossed that threshold", the letter says.
