Disc-Free Xbox One S Details Leaked

The All Digitial Xbox One S will fulfil Microsoft's original vision of the Xbox One, that being a device which relies only on digital media and requires a broadband connection to get games and other media. If true, that's a bit expensive for a console with no disc-drive, especially since the standard Xbox One S with its 4K Blu Ray player can often be found at $250 or less when it's on sale.

WinFuture.de images look very much like the renders we saw last month; however its packaging shots include full descriptive text rather than placeholder type and text boxes. It will also contain 1TB of storage.

From what we know at the moment, it seems as though the Xbox One S All Digital will only be available in white, will come complete with a single controller, and it could be unveiled by Microsoft on April 16. The packaging also reveals that it will come bundled with Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and Forza Horizon 3 already installed on there. More games can be purchased via the Microsoft Store. Winfuture notes the console will retail for €229, which is around $260.

As for launch details, Quandt claims that the Xbox One S All Digital will be available in Europe on May 17th, 2019 for €229.99, which translates to around $260 United States dollars. It is expected that pre-orders will be opened up shortly after the launch with availability starting from 7 May in Europe. Hence, the launch price for the disc-less version doesn't look very persuasive for consumers.
